Our first Tuna pen trip of the year. We fought an ugly westerly chop all day and managed only one bluefin on a cedar plug in the morning "bite" while dodging all the fiberglass collected around the pens. A modest string of kelp produced 2 nice Yellowtail. We left around 10:30 to find a wide open bite for smaller yellowtail just below the upper 500 spot. On returning to the pens We picked up 4 large bluefin on bait near an isolated pen. The bite lasted until the pen tow boat decided to change direction and the bite shut down. limits of yellowtail and 5 Bluefin
